Edible oil fractionation & Dewaxing line

Oil Fractionation and Dewaxing
Fractionation is a physical modification process that separates different triacylglycerol fractions based on their distinct melting points through controlled cooling and crystallization. It requires no chemical additives and produces no by‑products or wastewater, making it safe and environmentally friendly.

Dewaxing, also known as winterization, is a specific application of fractionation. It removes small amounts of high‑melting waxes from oils such as sunflower, corn germ, rice bran, and camellia seed oil. These waxes tend to precipitate as flocculent solids at low temperatures, impairing the oil's appearance and performance. The dewaxing process slowly stirs and cools the oil to grow larger wax crystals, which are then separated by filtration, ensuring the final oil remains clear, bright, and fluid even under refrigeration.

Our newly developed fractionation technology uses advanced crystallizers, filtration presses, and precise automatic temperature controls. We can adjust crystallization rate, crystallization temperature, and maturing time to suit different oils. This technology works especially well for palm oil fractionation with different temperature. It also efficiently fractionates cottonseed oil and animal fats like fish oil and lard, significantly increasing added value and economic returns.

Key advantages include fully computer‑controlled automation, stable and reliable operation, and a complete solution to the problems of traditional diatomaceous earth filtration—such as incomplete dewaxing, heavy pollution, and low yield. The final product passes the 0℃ 24‑hour cold test with perfect clarity and brightness, demonstrating its superior quality.
